KPIs for Smart City Initiatives

The Project

The client wanted to develop a formal methodological framework or series of KPIs to evaluate the effects of implementing SMART city initiatives.

Specific Area of Interest

The client was especially interested in finding information about Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region and wanted to speak to experts with experience in implementing SMART city initiatives. In addition, the client wanted input on a methodology to evaluate both the quantitative and qualitative effects of implementing SMART initiatives in an urban framework.

Our Impact

We screened several individuals with experience in implementing SMART city initiatives in the Central Asia region and arranged for phone interviews so the client could learn how these experts prepare to implement these specific projects. The client was then able to take this information and develop a framework for evaluating the effects of implementing SMART city initiatives on both the local citizens and the government.
